Are you tired of the crisp bags, juice bottles and other litter that is spoiling our Beach?
Litter removal from Scotland’s streets costs over £100million a year which could be spent on other services. We hope our clean up will show others that we have pride in our public spaces and by working together we can take responsibility for our surroundings and show that dropping litter is unacceptable.
We will be joining hundreds of other community groups, schools, youth clubs, environmental organisations, voluntary groups, businesses and individuals who will be spring cleaning their local areas. In fact, last April more than 83,000 volunteers took part in clean up events as part of Keep Scotland Beautiful’s National Spring Clean. And they gathered enough litter to fill 42,000 standard wheelie bins – proving that even each individual volunteer’s small contribution really does make a huge difference.
